Description

Are they willing to take a risk for a chance at love?

Shane Dawson, a medic captured and tortured in Iraq, is back on U.S. soil, but now he must confront his personal demons.

Lauren Reynolds is a widowed ER doctor with a son, Josh, who has ADHD. When the two meet, Lauren thinks Shane is the most wonderful, thrilling man she has met in a long time. But her child’s welfare is priority number one, and there are some very compelling reasons to stay apart… .

Lauren loves Shane, and Josh wants a father desperately and thinks the wounded warrior might be the right man for the job. With so much to lose, can Lauren and Shane overcome their issues to find that once-in-a-lifetime love?

About the authors

Patrice Wilton was born in Vancouver, Canada, and knew from the age of twelve that she wanted to be a writer. She also knew that she had to grow up first and see the world that she wanted to write about, so she became a flight attendant and for seventeen years traveled the world. At the age of forty, she sat down to write her first novel — in longhand! She is the proud mother of two, with four lovely granddaughters and a wonderful, supportive man at her side. They live in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he teaches her golf, and she teaches him patience.
